Learning the olors and shapes

    These classes help engage your child in a high level of Russian speech, writing, and reading comprehension.

Assignments will encourage students to express their uniqueness in Russian. Based on age and individual assessment, children will work on conversational development, writing skills (letters and spelling), basic grammar, reading and comprehension, classic Russian poetry, literature, expressions, phrases, and vocabulary.

     We offer five levels, based on both your child’s age and level of Russian speech and comprehension. Based on an initial assessment, we will determine which of the following classes best suits your child.

Level 1 (2.5 – 3 years old)
    This class will focus on the Russian language through a speech while beginning to develop motor and logic skills. We will work on:

  •      Noticing details and differences

  •      Comparing sizes

  •      Recognizing opposites

  •      Naming and drawing shapes

  •      Learning the primary colors

  •      Distinguishing left from right

  •      Matching pairs and patterns

  •      Art projects and putting together forms

  •      Learning the Russian alphabet

                     

Level 2 (3 – 5 years old)
This class will focus on developing essential reading and writing skills. We will work on:

  •     Russian Alphabet

  •     Spelling Rules

  •     Basics of Russian grammar

  •     Reading skills

  •     Exposure to famous Classic Poetry and Literature

  •     Common Expressions and phrases

  •     Enriching the Russian Vocabulary

  •     Conversational development

Level 3: Beginner (5 – 7-year-olds)
This class will focus on developing essential reading and writing skills. We will work on:

  •     Russian alphabet

  •     Spelling rules

  •     Basics of Russian grammar

  •     Reading skills

  •     Exposure to famous Classic Poetry and Literature

  •     Common Expressions and phrases

  •     Enriching the Russian Vocabulary

  •     Conversational development

Level 4: Intermediate (5 – 7-year-olds)
This class will focus on developing further reading and writing skills. We will work on:

  •     Spelling rules and alphabet refresher

  •     Complex sentence structure

  •     Reading speed

  •     Classic Poetry and Literature

  •     Enriching the Russian Vocabulary

  •     Presenting in Russian

Level 5: Beginner (7 – 10-year-olds)
This class will focus on developing further reading and writing skills. We will work on:

  •     Russian alphabet

  •     Spelling rules

  •     Basics of Russian grammar

  •     Reading skills

  •     Exposure to famous Classic Poetry and Literature

  •     Common Expressions and phrases

  •     Enriching the Russian Vocabulary

  •     Conversational development

  •     Presenting in Russian

  •     Proper pronunciation
