Elina Slobod

     Elina holds a B.A in Biochemistry and Psychology from Hunter College. She graduated with Psychology Honors and Cum Laude Latin Honors. She has six years of experience working with children of all ages and completed an Honors Research Thesis on eye gaze processing in young children with Autism. She was a statistics teaching assistant and tutor at Hunter College, held multiple teaching positions at Shorefront Y Day Camp and Sunday School and prepared elementary school students for a city and statewide math and science exams privately. Her combined interest in medicine, science, research, and writing has earned her publication in the Journal of Nuclear Medicine as well as several poster presentations at national conferences. Her goal is to not only to teach students critical thinking and test-taking techniques that will help them throughout their education but to spark an interest in learning that will help each to be successful in any endeavor he or she chooses to pursue
